Description
With the outbreak of the Hussite Revolution in 1419, Bohemia faced a superior force of European crusader armies. German chivalry experienced a final flowering. But under the leadership of energetic army leaders, such as Jan Zizka, the armies of the Bohemian heretics developed tactics with which they won battle after battle. The defensive use of the chariot and intensive use of the first guns brought them success. Since Roman times, the Hussites were the first to use all available types of weapons in a coordinated manner on the battlefield. This volume sheds light on weapons and armaments, organisation and tactics of the Hussite armies.
