Wilhelm Ernst Karl Alexander Friedrich Heinrich Bernhard Albert Georg Hermann of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (* 10 June 1876 in Weimar; 24 April 1923 in Heinrichau, Silesia) was Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach from 7. The full title was: His Royal Highness Wilhelm Ernst, by the Grace of God Grand Duke of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach (from 1903: "Grand Duke of Saxony"), Landgrave in Thuringia, Margrave of Meissen, Princely Count of Henneberg, Lord of Blankenhayn, Neustadt and Tautenburg, etc. After his military training, Wilhelm Ernst advanced to General of the Infantry in the Prussian Army on 13 September 1911. He was chief of the infantry regiment "Grand Duke of Saxony" (5th Thuringian) No. 94 as well as the Thuringian Hussar Regiment No. 12 and stood à la suite of the 1st Guards Regiment on Foot and the I Sea Battalion. In the Saxon Army he held the rank of General of Cavalry and was also Chief of the Carbine Regiment (2nd Heavy Regiment).
