Tiran 5

After the 1967 Six-Day War, the Israeli military designated the T-55 tanks captured from various Arab armies as the "Tiran 5" and integrated them into its own armed forces as a valuable combat element. Many of these vehicles were modified: Their original 100-mm main guns were replaced with 105-mm Western-standard cannons, and their armament was strengthened by the addition of an M2 heavy machine gun mounted on the gun shield, as well as additional machine guns for the commander and the loader. Another characteristic feature was the installation of a stowage box on the right side of the turret. During the Yom Kippur War in October 1973, these tanks formed an indispensable part of the armoured force and proved themselves in battle through their valiant service. Although they were withdrawn from front-line operations in the early 1980s, they continued to be used for training purposes as well as for tasks in the rear area and were even deployed during the Lebanon War.

- Length: 252 mm; width: 96 mm. The kit realistically reproduces the reinforced, powerful appearance of the tank - complete with the upgraded main gun, an M2 heavy machine gun mounted on the gun shield, machine guns for the commander and the loader as well as a mortar mount on the left side of the turret.
- Numerous details have been faithfully reproduced, including the stowage box on the right-hand side of the turret, the stowage baskets at the rear of the turret and hull and the water tanks attached at various points on the vehicle.
- Two half figures (commander and gunner) and a set of decals with markings from the 1980s are included.
