During design of the King Tiger, two 88mm gun-toting turret types were developed: the Porsche-produced variant was recognizable by its curved lines; this model accurately captures the form of a Porsche turreted King Tiger, hitting the nail on the head with differences from the competing Henschel ("Production") turret King Tigers, such as the tapered gun barrel and large grille covers. The model offers a choice of open or closed turret and hull hatches, and succinctly recreates the complex interweaved wheel setup. Belt-type tracks and a commander figure are packaged in the model.
