The Sd.Kfz. 250 armoured personnel carrier was used extensively by German mechanised troops during the Second World War. Developed on the technical basis of the artillery tractor Sd.Kfz.10, it was intended to provide a flexible and reliable solution for integrating infantry movements with armoured troops. L'Sd.Kfz. 250 was armed with one or two 7.92 mm MG34 machine guns and could carry a four-man infantry squad onto the battlefield well protected. The vehicle's esteem was the basis for the development of numerous variants, including the Light Radio Armoured Car 250/3, which served as a control centre for radio communications between advancing troops, artillery and air force. Famous is the "Griffin", which was used by Erwin Rommel in North Africa as a real advanced command post in close contact with the front troops.
