Tornado GR.1 RAF

The Tornado forms one of NATO's most successful and versatile weapon systems and has already proven itself in many conflict situations. At the start of every conflict, RAF Tornados equipped with ALARM guided weapons are among the first allied aircraft to enter enemy airspace on their dangerous air defence mission. After this, other Tornado units can safely follow and fly precision bombing raids and enemy positions. With their large 2250 litre auxiliary tanks, RAF Tornados also have an exceptional range. The maximum speed is 1340 km/h at 150 m altitude.
