With the remaining A330 sub-fleet due to be replaced by the state-of-the-art Airbus A350, it is high time to announce and launch a 1:500 scale model of the A330-200 in the current ?smiling dolphin? livery. For decades, KLM was a loyal customer of (McDonnell) Douglas and later of Boeing. When the A330 was introduced two decades ago, it was the only Airbus-built aircraft in the Dutch airline?s fleet. This has recently changed with the introduction of the A321neo and now the brand-new A350.
