1745 - Second Silesian War.
Our series refers to the following episode: The "old Dessauer" found the enemy (here the Saxons and the Austrians) in an excellent position on icy slopes of Kesselsdorf. Before he gave the sign for the attack, he is said to have prayed loudly in front of the front line: "Dear God, graciously help me today! Or if you do not want to, help the villains, not the enemies, but see how it comes ! ".
Here in a compilation of 1:40 of the original force, only Prussian soldiers.
Leopold I, Prince of Anhalt-Dessau, called "Der Alte Dessauer" (* July 3, 1676 in Dessau, April 7, 1747 ibid), was Prince of Anhalt-Dessau, the first important Prussian army reformer and one of the most popular Prussian Generals.
