The commander of the VIII. Army Corps, Josef Poniatowski, arrives at his reserve of kneeling infantry to present them for attack. The infantrymen were engraved with stutz so that voltigeurs and fusiliers could also be depicted wearing stutz. Tschapka covers are rather rare in the infantry. The enclosed mace is the status symbol of the sapper sergeants. The staff figures complement the Thiel staff perfectly in size and position.
