Special chemical liquid (additive) to extend the processing time of addition-curing silicones.
Processing: Add 0.1% to a maximum of 0.3% by weight. Example: Add 0.1g to a maximum of 0.3g of Delayer to 100g of total silicone. The delayer must be added to the base component.
For every 0.1% added, the processing time is increased by 10 minutes, (0.3% equals 30 minutes more processing time). It is important not to exceed this maximum percentage (0.3%), because the silicone will then no longer vulcanise.
Add the desired percentage of delayer to the base component (base) of the silicone and homogenise (mix) delayer and base component for approx. 60 seconds.
Then mix base (base) and catalyst (catalyst) of the silicone as indicated on the processing note of the silicone.
The silicone can be used as usual.
Important note
The surfaces with which the material comes into contact must be completely clean, free of grease and dry.
The preparation is not to be considered dangerous according to Directive 88/379 / EEC and subsequent amendments.
When stored correctly (cool, dry, protected from sunlight in the correctly closed original container), the delayer has a shelf life of at least 12 months.
