Special chemical liquid (additive) to extend the processing time of addition-curing silicones.
Processing: Add 0.1% to a maximum of 0.3% by weight. Example: Add 0.1 g to a maximum of 0.3 g of Delayer to 100 g of total silicone. The delayer must be added to the base component.
For every 0.1 % added, the processing time is extended by 10 minutes, (0.3 % corresponds to 30 minutes more processing time). It is important not to exceed this maximum percentage (0.3 %), as the silicone will then no longer vulcanise.
Add the desired percentage of the delayer to the base component (base) of the silicone and homogenise (mix) the delayer and base component for approx. 60 seconds.
Then mix the base (base) and catalyst (catalyst) of the silicone as indicated on the processing instructions of the silicone.
The silicone can be used as usual.
Important note
The surfaces with which the material comes into contact must be completely clean, free of grease and dry.
The preparation is not to be considered dangerous according to Directive 88/379 / EEC and subsequent amendments.
When stored correctly (cool, dry, protected from sunlight in the correctly closed original container), the delayer has a shelf life of at least 12 months.
