Volume 6 of the series "Les Planches de la Belle Alliance". After a brief description of the life story of the Belgian painter George Royen, his watercolour drawings are shown, which have the French army at the time of the Battle of Waterloo as their subject. In addition to Napoleon I and his entourage, the grenadiers, mounted hunters, lancers, mounted artillerymen and infantrymen of the Guard as well as "simple" carabiniers, cuirassiers, dragoons and hussars are shown.
