This almost unknown publication about the German 122nd Infantry Division was recently found in the estate of a customer of Zeitreise-Verlag: This reprint is intended for readers, collectors and archives interested in German military and troop history. The 122nd Infantry Division was in action in the Russian campaign in the Baltic States, in the siege of Leningrad, in the Kesselschlacht of Demjansk as well as in the battles of Cholm and Newel.
In March 1944, the division was sent to Helsinki and at the end of July 1944, after the fall of Narwa, it was transferred back to the Russian front. The infantry division "Griffin" surrendered with Army Group Courland on 8 May 1945. The text and drawings included in the work are by soldiers of the "Griffin" division.
