Although already developed in the early 1960s, the American military has remained faithful to the M16 to this day. Some newer variants of this rifle are presented, such as the M 4 Carbine or the numerous replicas from all over the world - for example, the weapons manufactured under licence in Singapore or the Philippines, the Canadian Diemaco C 7 or the Chinese pirate copy by Norinco. By far the largest part of the booklet, however, is devoted to the development from the assault rifle to the self-loading match rifle with the many civilian offshoots that the German market also has in store.
