The "Visier" Special No. 87 is first devoted to the initial security policy situation and the concepts derived from it with regard to the tactics and structure of the police. After that, the focus is naturally on technology and armament - i.e. the "means of command and deployment". The spectrum ranges from personal equipment to service pistols, medium-range weapons and precision rifles to large-scale equipment such as protected special vehicles and helicopters. Another focus is on training. As usual, an extensive appendix with contacts in authorities and industry, references to museums, literature and websites as well as further additional information concludes the booklet.
Increasing propensity to violence in everyday life, illegal migration and its consequences, high technology in the hands of organised crime, cyber attacks on the increasingly networked society, new types of terrorist threats - today's security forces are faced with multiple challenges to protect our pluralistic community.
