A documentation series on the service weapons of the German police and gendarmerie is published by the Arbeitskreis Polizeiwaffen on behalf of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Polizeigeschichte e.V.. The historical and technical development of the weapons as well as their marking since 1806, taking into account the political circumstances, is the subject of this entire documentation. The first book in the series was published in June 2011. Now the 7th volume is being published in which the development of police weapons in the Weimar Republic from 1919 to 1933 is described.
