This book completes the series on the history of the tank combat vehicle "Tiger I" and the units by which it was used. The scope has been extended to 520 pages, including the history of the following units: s.13./Pz.Rgt. GD, III Tiger Abt./Pz.Rgt. GD, s.8./SS-Pz.Rgt., s.9./3rd SS-Pz..Rgt., s.Pz. Abt. (Fkl.) 301, Tiger Kp. Meyer, Pz.Kp. Hummel, Tiger Gruppe Fehrmann, Panzerkompanie Paderborn, Panzerkompanie Panther, Panzerabteilung Kummersdorf/ Müncheberg. Additional photos of the following Panzer Divisions have been added: 501, 502, 503, 504, 505, 508, 509, and 424.
The book contains 543 new or graphically improved photos, 174 new colour profiles (including some for units in the two previous volumes) and 67 organisation charts of all units in the three volumes. In addition, there are some photos and profiles on the Panzer III, as this type of vehicle was also used in the first five Tiger divisions. The author has also added some photos that were only discovered after the publication of volumes 1 and 2 - e.g. 30 photos of the s.Panzer-Abteilung 509, including a very nice shot of a "Königstiger".
