The author and his team of many contributors bring to light new points of view and improvements on this subject, so that readers and those interested in history can get a better picture of the various political, semi-political and military ring collars and breastplates in the Third Reich. The ring collars and breastplates are mostly presented with front and back. Some pieces also have many detailed illustrations, which help the collector to distinguish the original from the replica.
In 1977, a book on ring collars and breastplates in the Third Reich was published in the USA - the first on this subject. It became a standard work! It is very surprising that after so many books have been published on topics about Hitler's Germany, only now - after more than thirty-four years - is a new book being published on this specific and very complex subject. Many contemporary photographs confirm the use of the rarest pieces. Excerpts from regulations and suit orders help the reader to find his way through the jungle of regulations, which was already often inscrutable even for those concerned at the time. It was often quite difficult to find good photos for this book. The author and his collaborators have succeeded in gathering many hitherto completely unknown photos of the use of the respective pieces and to present them here in a book.
