British troops have been deployed in southern Afghanistan as part of ISAF since 2006. Their mission in Helmand Province is to assist the Afghan government in creating a stable security situation, to help train Afghan security forces and to support the reconstruction of the country. This publication shows for the first time the full range of vehicles deployed by "Task Force Helmand" in 2011, including many that have only recently been procured specifically for use in Afghanistan. In addition to protected patrol vehicles, armoured reconnaissance vehicles and armoured infantry fighting vehicles, logistics vehicles, engineer equipment, artillery weapon systems and helicopters are also presented with numerous photos and detailed descriptions.
