As an important NATO ally, Great Britain deployed larger units with parts of the "British Army of the Rhine" (BAOR) to the American "Reforger" manoeuvres. Initially with smaller units, in 1978 the participation was increased to brigade strength. The special exercise value for the BAOR was the realistic setting, the invasion route of the Warsaw Pact troops towards the Rhine Valley. The combat exercises of the time took place without exception in open terrain. The British troops were known and notorious for placing combat behaviour above all else. This publication shows the vehicle fleet of the BAOR during the manoeuvres "Reforger 78 FTX", "Certain Shield" and "Reforger 91 FTX".
