The series shows fusiliers in battle march with all important batches. The mace of the sapper-sergeant is a status symbol. The standard-bearer, a non-commissioned officer, carries the typical small flag of the Polish infantry regiments. As shown in numerous illustrations, the officer and drum major wear the long trousers.
