Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher, Prince of Wahlstatt (* 16 December 1742 in Rostock; 12 September 1819 in Krieblowitz) was a Prussian Field Marshal who became famous for defeating Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo. Popularly called "Marshal Forward", he is one of the most popular heroes of the wars of liberation in Europe
