To mark the 200th anniversary, the Cologne City Museum is presenting the exhibition "Achtung Preußen! 200 Years of Prussia on the Rhine" with the exhibition "Achtung Preußen! Relationship status: complicated. Cologne 1815-2015", the multifaceted tense relationship between the people of Cologne and Prussia. The richly illustrated accompanying volume approaches the topic using 22 historical objects, some significant and artistic, others everyday or bizarre. These exhibits highlight a Cologne-Prussian history that oscillates between rejection and veneration, prejudice, patriotism and modernisation.
