Railway photographer Thomas Rieger took numerous b/w and colour photos of the German Reichsbahn in the 1970s and 1980s. This resulted in a large photo archive of previously unpublished photographs, which Dirk Endisch, one of the best experts on German steam locomotives, took over from the estate of the now deceased author.
