The Junkers A 50 was a German light aircraft from the 1930s, developed for sports and training flights. The single-engine, all-metal low-wing aircraft with its typical corrugated appearance offered outstanding flight performance thanks to its cantilever wings, 105 hp engine and excellent manoeuvrability. Today, its legacy lives on in the Junkers A50 Junior from Junkers Aircraft a faithful, modernised replica. The well-known pilot Claus Cordes fulfilled a dream with it: a 14,000 km journey through Europe, captured in an impressively illustrated book with photos by Philipp Prinzing from the magazine Klassiker der Luftfahrt.
