Fascinating is the comparison between the siblings who had so much in common - above all, however, a pointed tongue including a tendency to irony and sarcasm. The parents were first cousins, but a significant burden does not seem to have resulted for the offspring. Many siblings had an above-average talent in the musical field and were even capable of composing.
Some family members are accused of arrogance and haughtiness in addition to their inclination towards art and culture. Almost all the siblings suffered from the domineering behaviour of their brother Frederick II, who took the place of their tyrannical father after his accession to the throne. Thus, there is certainly no lack of drama in the lives portrayed.
