The Apaches were nomads and the most numerous Native American people in the south-west of the USA, with an estimated 15,000 members around 1840. They lived in the deserts and steppe areas of present-day Texas, Arizona and New Mexico. The Sioux, who settled on the prairie, were divided into various Indian tribes and peoples, who were all related by a common language. German edition of two Osprey titles.
