This book deals with the ammunition and fuzes of British rifled muzzle loading (RML) and rifled breech loading (RBL) artillery. The Royal Laboratory Plates (RLP) were the working plans produced for the various editions of the Treatise on Ammunition. Whilst the Treatises can be found in various editions and reprints, only a few RLP plates themselves have been made available to researchers. Fortunately, an almost complete set of plates has been found and preserved, making this volume the most complete reference on the subject.
