One of the three Bogatyri (warriors) of Russian legend: Ilya Muromets, Dobrynya Nikitich and Alyosha Popovich. After a painting by the Russian painter Viktor Mikhailovich Vasnetsov (1848-1926). Bogatyr is the name for warriors from medieval Russian legends, who are sung about in various heroic songs (bylines). The original meaning of the word was "hero" or "brave warrior" and referred to a free warrior from the 13th century onwards. These beautifully modelled figures will delight the collector's heart.
