Since 2014, Ukraine, in particular the Donbas region, has been in the throes of a civil war between the government and the pro-Russian separatist parts of the country. The majority of the vehicles used in this conflict are, by their very nature, material that dates back to the Soviet era. Individual paint schemes and patriotic slogans on the vehicles make this contemporary conflict an interesting field of activity for modellers.
The internet, modern media and social networks give modellers access to an almost unmanageable wealth of photographs of the vehicles used in this conflict. This work presents a range of vehicle models typical of the travelling arsenal of the parties to the conflict in the Ukrainian civil war. In detailed and extensively illustrated step-by-step instructions, the reader can follow the creation process of the various model projects and be inspired by what is shown. A wide variety of working techniques for assembly, detailing, painting and ageing are used and explained in a comprehensible manner. Models shown: BMP-2; Donbas BTR-60; T-64; BRDM-2; GAZ-66 with ZU-23 (23-mm air defence gun).
