The GMC truck is one of the most famous military vehicles of the Second World War. Based on the principle if you can do more, you can do less, the US Army equipped itself in 1940 with an all-terrain four-wheel drive truck whose payload was ideally suited to the heavy logistics of the world war. Over 700,000 units were officially delivered. Most of these were produced in a version for troop transport and supply, which is the subject of this book. The longevity of this legendary truck is such that thousands of them are still in private collections today.
