Shootings, crashes and impacts of flying bombs from the Eifel and the right bank of the Rhine in 1944/45. This documentation presents the operational history of the V 1. It mainly focuses on the activities of the III. Abteilung (3rd Division) of Flakregiment 155 (W) in the Eifel, Westerwald and Bergisches Land. In addition to describing the V 1 weapon system and the construction of a firing position, it provides a detailed account of what happened in the Eifel and on the right bank of the Rhine in the autumn and winter of 1944/1945. The consequences of the more than 5,600 shoot-downs for the German population in the operational area and the effect of the weapon system in the target areas are presented.
