Illustrated with a large number of contemporary bw photographs and colour vehicle profiles by Mark Rolfe, this publication shows the British, Canadian and, to a slightly lesser extent, German armoured vehicles on the Normandy front in the summer of 1944. The photographs, in conjunction with the accurate colour profiles and the text explanations, provide an accurate picture of the vehicle paints and markings used on both sides. In addition, the military events on the Normandy front during the period mentioned are explained in brief.
