Following his successful illustrated book "Uniformabzeichen der Waffen-SS" (Uniform Badges of the Waffen-SS), the author now presents another illustrated book dedicated to the uniform variants of the Waffen-SS. On the one hand, he traces the development of the uniforms since the founding of the SS administrative unit in 1935 and, on the other hand, takes a broad look at the numerous variants, ranging from field grey to camouflage clothing, winter clothing, tropical clothing and special clothing.
Neither lounge suits for SS leaders nor protective coats for motorcyclists, clothing for paratroopers, flamethrower protective suits or service clothing for female SS helpers are missing. The author has taken the trouble to find original photos from the Third Reich period for each form of clothing. These photos as well as schematic drawings illustrate the texts and descriptions. An encyclopaedia of all Waffen-SS uniform variants that leaves no questions unanswered.
