Contemporary history in pictures. The NS-Reichskriegerbund (NSRKB), the umbrella organisation for all warriors' and soldiers' associations in Germany, had emerged from the Kyffhäuserbund in 1938. In 1939, after the reunification with Austria, the Sudetenland and Memelland, the chairman, General of the Infantry Wilhelm Reinhard, was able to invite the first so-called "Greater German Reich Warriors' Day" to Kassel. This illustrated book combines the reprint of excerpts from a contemporary manuscript from 1939 (with an address by Adolf Hitler and many b/w photos) with a colour photo section showing the parade of all branches of the armed forces. Many bw and colour photos, large format. 160 pages.
