From Wewelsburg to Berghof. One of the last living important contemporary witnesses of the Third Reich hereby presents his autobiography. Quickly promoted to battalion commander in the SS volunteer legion "Netherlands" during World War II on the Eastern Front, Dr. Frank was ordered to Obersalzberg as commander in 1943, where he was responsible for the security of the Berghof. As SS-Obersturmbannführer, he was ordered by Hitler to arrest Hermann Göring in April 1945. Bernhard Frank was unable to prevent the bombing of Obersalzberg - only a few days later. He concludes his memoirs with an account of his war captivity, which lasted until 1948. 254 pages.
