Fifteen years of hard work, marked by numerous setbacks, nevertheless made it possible to overcome this often seemingly insurmountable obstacle and pave the way for the development of an aviation industry that regained its global prominence. This book presents the characteristics of the French prototypes developed during this crucial phase. Based on the archives of their official evaluation documents from the flight test center, it offers a four-part photo series for each prototype, summarizing its performance and flight characteristics. This vividly illustrates the manifold difficulties faced by the manufacturers' design bureaus and production facilities before they could reach the level of expertise of their foreign competitors.
