A chronological overview of the development of the military in the principalities of Weimar and Eisenach and especially in the later united duchy of Weimar-Eisenach during the Napoleonic Wars. The various campaigns, battles and major engagements in which Weimar troops took part between 1796 and 1815 are described, including the Battle of Auerstedt in 1806, Tyrol in 1809, the campaign in Catalonia, the Russian campaign in 1812, the transfer to the Prussian army, the battles at Wartenberg and Freiberg (1813), the Battle of Möckern (1813) and finally the campaigns in France in 1814 and in the Netherlands in 1815.
