Jüterbog was one of the largest military towns in Germany. At times, more than 20000 hectares were used for military purposes. Arranged in chronological order, the formations, units and services of the Imperial Army, the Reichswehr, the German Wehrmacht and the Red Army/Soviet Army as well as the Russian Western Group are described in detail. Including artillery school, Royal Military Railway, Central Airship Port, Higher Flying School, flying units of the Luftwaffe.
