Mammoth hunt by Cro-Magnon-men

Cromagnon, Palaeolithic.
Our series shows cromagnon hunters ambushing a herd of mammoths. The huge shaggy monsters, weighing about 10 tonnes, have been joined by a woolly rhinoceros. Armed with their long spears, the hunters follow the herd at a safe distance. Perhaps they hope to kill a young animal that has strayed too far from the adults.
