Our series depicts knights and men-at-arms at a halt, as well as standard-bearers and fanfare trumpeters.
Among other possibilities, this series can be used to recreate the following historical scene: In 1412, Burgrave Friedrich VI of Nuremberg halts near Treuenbrietzen just before crossing the Brandenburg border.
Alternatively, the figures can represent Elector Friedrich I of Brandenburg during February and March 1414. It was at this time that he began to conquer all the key castles and strongholds belonging to the rebellious nobility of the Markincluding Friesack Castle (held by Dietrich von Quitzow), Plaue Castle (held by his brother Johann von Quitzow), Beuthen Castle (also occupied by Johann), and Golzow Castle (held by the House of Rochow). An oversized piece of artillerythe so-called "Faule Grete" ("Lazy Grete," Series 100/30/301)is said to have played a decisive role in these campaigns.

Friedrich I of Brandenburg (born c. 1371 in Nuremberg; died September 20, 1440, at Cadolzburg Castle, Principality of Ansbach) served as Margrave of Brandenburg from 1415 to 1440, as well as Arch-Chamberlain and Elector of the Holy Roman Empire. He was the first member of the House of Hohenzollern to hold these titles. Initially, as Friedrich VI, he served as Burgrave of Nuremberg (13971420); following the division of the inheritance by his father, Friedrich V, he became Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach (13981440); and, upon the death of his older brother Johann, he also became Margrave of Brandenburg-Kulmbach (14201440).
