The first volume deals, among other things, with the history of the decoration, the practice of awarding it as well as all levels and manufacturers of this important order. The second volume is dedicated to the certificates of ownership, documents, ribbons, etc.
Although this two-volume work is based on a now out-of-print title of the same name by the same author, 90 per cent of the text and 90 per cent of the images are new.
