The court of Frederick II is concerned about the many secret dispatches circulating between Dresden and Vienna. They already have their spies close to Brühl,the all-powerful minister of August III. But when the young Swiss Max de Simonis applies for a post in Berlin, he is immediately sent to Saxony to provide further information. Brühl's plans are betrayed and the Prussians march into Saxony without declaring war. Simonis gets caught between the fronts...
