Description
This detailed weapons technology study presents the small arms in use by the Waffen-SS between 1933 and 1945. The volume is not limited to pistols, submachine guns, rifles and machine guns of German production, but also includes those weapons that came into the hands of the SS as spoils of war or through the allies of the German Reich, or were manufactured in production facilities in conquered countries.
The functioning and characteristics of the various handguns are described in detail, as are the individual variants and the various markings and acceptance stamps on the weapons. The visual material consists of a large number of contemporary bw photos as well as actual detailed and general views of the weapons presented. In addition to the weapons themselves, the book also deals with the ammunition in its concluding chapter.
