Volume 1: From prototype to production. The design of the Leopard 1 and its development into the first main battle tank built by Germany after the Second World War. In the course of the work, the individual prototypes, the pre-production Leopard, the various production models are described and, of course, the finished Leopard 1 itself is presented. In addition, experimental and development models as well as the Leopard 1 in service with the Bundeswehr are shown.
