Monte Grappa is known worldwide as an important site of the First World War on the Italian front and for the relics still visible more than a century later, such as the monumental Italian-Austro-Hungarian ossuary, the trenches, and the artillery positions. However, virtually nothing is known about the former missile base, whose remains were visible until recently directly on the summit of this "sacred" mountain. Many accounts are inaccurate, and false legends have arisen, undoubtedly fueled by the secrecy surrounding these structures to this day. This volume aims to shed light on the significance of the Italian Air Force and, in particular, the largely unknown 64th Squadron.
