In this exclusively colour illustrated book, the reader will find a selection of works by the Spanish history painter Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau, including some that have never before been published together with other of his last works. The paintings by Ferrer-Dalmau are juxtaposed with very beautifully modelled and painted miniature figures (mainly full-scale figures, a diorama, some vignettes with several figures and two flat figures), which were deliberately modelled on the painting by the figure modellers and painters and painted accordingly. In this way, the work shows almost 60 paintings by the Spanish painter as well as just as many figures or groups of figures. The subjects depicted are predominantly Spanish, with the time frame ranging from the Battle of Rocroi to the deployment of the "Blue Division" in the Second World War.
