Over 200 high-quality and never-before-published photos of the Panzer-Pioneer-Battalion 40, which, as a top unit together with the Panzer Regiment 24 of the 24th Panzer Division, marched during the summer offensive of 1942 ("Fall Blau") from Kursk via Voronezh, to the Don and up to Stalingrad. There the entire 24th Panzer Division was destroyed. Many authentic battle photos, no posed PK shots!
Including pictures of the Knight's Cross holder Lieutenant Egon Reifner and the destroyed tank platoon before Stalingrad in August 1942.
