Description
The subject of the investigation are the logistics practices before and during the Electoral Saxon and Hanoverian campaigns in the Great Turkish War. In three main chapters, the author first provides an overview of the events and administrative history and then analyzes the preparation and implementation of the campaigns. Both aspects are examined with regard to the routes, finances and supplies in order to highlight the specific practices of the actors at these three fields of action. The focus of investigation ranges from the princes to the military administrations to the soldiers and military logistics personnel. This creates a comprehensive picture of military mobility in early modern Europe.
