The book is a descriptive work on the military uniforms of the Prussian army, written during the Frederick era and printed at the end of Frederick II's reign. It is based on a publication by Johann Ernst Meyer from that period entitled: The State of the Royal Prussian Army in 1786 and a Brief History of this Army from its Foundation to the Present Day. This edition contains all the uniform illustrations from the original volume and a foreword in three languages: English, German and Italian. The uniforms include all those of the Prussian army, starting with the infantry, line infantry, guard and fusilier regiments, cavalry regiments in all their specialisations, the artillery and special units, the garrison regiments, the corps of senior officers, etc. This work is therefore extremely useful for all lovers of uniforms and costumes, but also for model makers and wargamers and, of course, for those interested in history.
